Stacks House

Capitalizing on the popularity of Instagram Museum pop-ups like Museum of Ice Cream, Cheat Day Land and 29Rooms, SheStacks decided to make financial literacy fun for women with space dedicated to photo-ready playful, money-themed experiences.

Advoc8 relied on Hatch to manifest "Stacks House," a space to inspire financial empowerment, as well as limitless selfies.

The Challenge
01
  • Tight turn-around

  • Unusual materials creatively utilized for extraordinary (and affordable) effects

  • The space had to be "Instagram Ready" to ensure attendees would share their experience with their friends

The Solution
02

This was not a typical build by any stretch.

A massive and complicated vinyl print job was necessary in order to execute the effect of a "Gold Bar" made of gold bars. Giant set pieces needed to be constructed and fitted with custom backlighting to give them that Instagram-worthy glow. The "Debt Boxing Gym" needed a ring, and the "Retirement Rodeo" mechanical bull - in this case, a piggy bank - needed a pen. Top it off with an infinity room that required a flawless install to guarantee the desired effect.

Add to the mix a massive last-minute monkey wrench: the agency originally scheduled to do the job was no working with the client. Advoc8 was hired to save the day and needed a fabricator that works miracles.

Hatch pulled it off - and quickly. This Pop-Up Museum was fabricated in our Maryland workshop and shipped to Los Angeles within a two-week timeframe.
